Same car parts stolen from two Opelika auto shops over weekend

OPELIKA, AL - An Opelika thief broke into two auto shops over the weekend and stole some important parts from vehicles on the properties.

One of the break-ins happened at the Airport Road Garage. They reported someone came onto the property and cut four catalytic converters off four school buses that were parked on the lot.

One of the converters was taken off property, one was found hidden in the bushes nearby and two others were found underneath the buses.

The other theft took place at Connor's Collision Center. They told police that someone cut off and stole the catalytic converter from a Kia Sportage that was left at the business for repair.

There are no suspects and the cases are under investigation.
